Project scope upgraded the entire sterile processing department, including equipment replacement, several critical utility upgrades and finishes. The project was completed in 4 phases, providing substantial code upgrades for existing MEP utilities. We installed a new compressor, air dryer, ultrasonic cleaner, 2 washers with conveyor system, 2 steam sterilizers and tied all the pieces into plant utilities. Project scope also included a department wide fire alarm and fire sprinkler upgrade. The existing RO system supporting the sterilization equipment for the sterile processing department was frequently failing. Our team assisted the design team to fast-track design documents while performing equipment replacement work in the dept. As a part of this project, our team completed an electrical service upgrade in the basement, installed new panels, step down transformers, performed equipment upgrades to support E-power and completed the RO system replacement scope. The existing RO room footprint had to be expanded to support the new design, which required additional fi re life safety and code compliance work as well as updating all the finishes to match the other recently renovated areas.
