The project entailed a significant renovation of the Picker X-Ray Equipment facility, focusing on both the removal of outdated equipment and the modernization of the control rooms. The existing Picker X-Ray equipment was dismantled, and the space was reconfigured to accommodate the advanced Carestream DRX Evolution System. This upgrade involved installing new casework and contemporary finishes to align with the high standards of the new system.
In addition to the equipment overhaul, extensive upgrades were necessary for the electrical systems and the lead lining of the existing walls to meet the safety and operational requirements for the Carestream DRX Evolution. The project also addressed accessibility improvements by incorporating ADA upgrades to the adjacent restrooms, ensuring enhanced accessibility for both patients and radiology nursing staff.
